In a large house in New York's Chinatown, a song of hope resonates within its walls—

From the time when the World Trade Center's Twin Towers still stood tall, through the feverish years of 'Make America Great Again', and into an imagined future civil war of societal fracture; over three generations and seven decades, a myriad of lives have momentarily intersected within this space, each carrying their own experiences, backgrounds, and biases in pursuit of an autonomous life, searching for their version of a perfect world that can be passed down through the ages.

Following the success of 'A Rare Night of Starry Sky', Forward Theatre Workshop presents another epic production, with award-winning screenwriter Li Jun taking on the role of playwright. Together with directors Huang Yanren and Li Yinglei, they bring to life 'A Perfect World'. A powerhouse cast of nine talented actors portray a diverse range of characters, whose stories unfold against a backdrop of societal change, exploring themes of idealism and conviction—even in a world fraught with chaos and uncertainty, the hope of life persists.
